In a long-expected decision, reigning Stock contractor of the Year Jeff Robinson announced that he is retiring Super Duty, formerly known as Major Payne. According to Robinson, the bull is 100-percent better than he was immediately after the injury, but will never return to bucking form. Major Payne was born and raised in Washington at Katich's ranch.
He was really special, and they don’t come around very often,” Robinson said. “He was in the prime of his career … I’m not sure he could have ever done any better than that.” Robinson said the bull’s entire 2010 season was memorable. In 2010, he was bucked 27 times at 25 different Built Ford Tough Series events, and had two impressive outs at the Finals. He scored a career-best 46.25 points inGreenville,S.C., last September, when he bucked off Shane Proctor. He had a career average buckoff time of 3.04 seconds, and an average bull score of 44.85 points at BFTS events.

“He was one we thought would step up and go on, and he did,” said Robinson.
